We worked with numbers 0-10 today. We played the game dix again. Then students did a partner activity similar to the dice activity we did yesterday. Then they practiced saying their phone number with a partner. Lastly, they completed a number worksheet, which is homework if they didn't finish.

We used our Salutations vocab to practice answering how we are. Students used scenarios I had up on the board to say how they would feel in that situation. Then we did a little "petite conversation" where students had a mini conversation with half of their classmates all in French! Lastly, they completed 4 sections of a worksheet which we will check tomorrow. This is homework if they didn't finish.

We finished our notes on how to ask someone how they are and how to respond. Students practiced asking their classmates how they were. Then they completed a worksheet using our new vocabulary.

We did the back side of our "Salutations" notes. Then I played two songs that used our new vocab words. Then students completed a half sheet using our new words. Lastly, we talked about the formal and informal in French and when you would use each one.

We began to take notes on our new Salutations - greetings unit. We learned different ways to say hello and goodbye today. We watched two short video clips that used this vocabulary. Then we finished class with a short game.

Students took their speaking assessment over the French alphabet today, each student met with me individually. Tomorrow we will begin our "Salutations" greetings unit.

We spent one last day practicing our French alphabet and accent marks. We listened to the two songs, then I practiced spelling French words for them. Lastly, students had the choice to study in whichever way would be help them - with a partner, individually, playing hangman but asking for the letters in French, etc.

We worked with the French Alphabet and accent marks. I played two songs to help the students remember the French alphabet. Students practiced spelling their French first name with partners then I spelled 5 words for them using the French alphabet.

We finished our notes over Basic French Vocab words. Then I showed a cultural clip about "la bise" the cheek to cheek kiss that French people may greet each other with. Then students completed a worksheet using our basic French vocab words. Tomorrow we will begin the French alphabet and accent marks.

I collected the syllabus from those students who had their parents/guardians sign them - these are officially due on Monday. Then I showed the students my website (mmepayer.weebly.com) and the class blog. Then we selected French first names and students practiced given their name with their classmates. Lastly, we began taking notes on Basic French Vocab words and we will finish this tomorrow.
