There was a sub today and students had all hour to complete their family/friend project. They are due at the end of class today, they should share them with me if it's a digital project or turn it in to the sub if it's a scrapbook or poster.

We worked with our family member vocab today. We also watched a short cultural video on family and a typical French wedding and we discussed how it was similar and different from what we do here in the US. Then students completed the family tree pretending they were one person on the family tree and describing how the others were related to them. Lastly, we finished our notes on family. Tomorrow I will be describing the family/friend project.

We wrote down our seasons today and added them to our "wheel". Students had the rest of class to work on their wheels and they are due at the end of class tomorrow.

We voted on some the sixth grade color project pictures today. Then we practiced our dates by playing "Connecte 5" - a modified version of connect 4 using dates in French. Then we practiced numbers 0-31 by playing "trente et un".

Students had class time to add their months of the year to their "wheel". They needed to write the month in French and add a picture or drawing that they associate with that month. Tomorrow we will add seasons and wrap up this unit this week.

We continued to work with our months of the year vocab. Students practiced asking and answering what the date is based on calendars I had displayed on the front board. Then we used the chromebooks to practice our days of the week and months of the year vocab sets. We will wrap up this unit next week.

We went over the homework. Then we took notes on numbers 21-31 so we could give the date. Students then did a listening activity on page 45 activity B in their lecon 4 packet. Then they practiced asking the date by using the calendars on page 46 part C of the same packet.

We took notes on months of the year today (vocab 4b2). Then students completed devoir #31 worksheet. This is homework if they didn't finish in class.

Today we worked again with our days of the week. Students used their flashcards. Then we did a listening activity on page 45 part A of their lecon 4 packet. Then students individually completed pg 48 #1. Then they received a "wheel" type picture that will become a mini-project and summarize our days of the week, months of the year and seasons. Today they added their name to their wheel and the days of the week. We will continue to add to this wheel over the next week or so.

We worked with colors again today. Students used the color cards again to practice their vocab words. Then they played "uno" in French, giving the color and number in French as they played.

We worked with colors today. Students used color cards to learn the words and then used those cards to complete two activities with a partner. Then they independently did a color worksheet.
