Students had some time to work on finishing up their wheel, which is due tomorrow at the beginning of class. Then we did a review game for the rest of class. Tomorrow we will begin family and friends.

We worked with our months and days again today. We did a listening activity in their lecon 4 packet. Then students had to line themselves according to their birthday speaking only in French. Then they had time to work on their wheel, which is due Friday at the beginning of class.

We continued to work on our months of the year today. Students practiced giving the date with a partner by completing an activity I had on the board. Then they practiced independently by completing part C on page 46 of their lecon 4 packet. Then we added our seasons to our notes and they were given time to complete a months worksheet and work on their wheel.

We talked about how to write the numbers 21-31 so that we could give those dates. Then students practiced giving the date by playing a game similar to Connect 4 with a partner. Then they did a practice writing worksheet. Lastly they worked on their wheel and I played French music.

We continued to work with our days of the week. We sang along with the song from Friday. Then students completed a listening activity on page 45 part A of their lecon 4 packet. Then we watched a short video that goes along with days of the week. Lastly, we began a reference wheel for this unit that will summarize our days of the week, months of the year and seasons. Today they only completed their name and the days of the week. We will add to this as we go through this unit this week and next week.

We wrapped up our coloring unit with a little competition. Students selected and completed a French color by number picture. My 8th graders will vote on the pictures early next week. Tomorrow we will begin a unit on days, months and family members.

We wrapped up our Salutations unit. Students created a short conversation and then practiced it with a partner. Then they did the front side of the "French Greetings" worksheet and turned it in when they were finished. If they didn't finish, it's homework.

We continued with our Salutations (Greetings) vocab today and finished all of our new words. Students practiced having short conversations with each other by greeting each other, asking their name and asking how they are. We will continue to work with this for most of the week.

Students took their numbers listening assessment today. Then we begin our next mini unit on Salutations (Greetings). Students received notes and we practiced pronunciation for our new words.

We continued to work with our numbers 0-20. Students continued their game of "war" from yesterday and then we did a practice assessment. I said a number in French and the students wrote down which number I said.

We worked with numbers 0-20 today. Students practiced listening and wrote down the number they heard me say - this models the assessment this week. Then we played a game of "vingt" to practice pronunciation. Lastly, students completed worksheet "Les Numéros 1-20"
