We worked with numbers again today. They did an activity with a partner. Then they played a modified version of war with cards where they had to add the cards together and whoever said the correct answer in French first, won the cards.

We added on to our numbers today. Students added 11-20 onto their 0-10 notes. Then we played a game with our numbers 0-20. Students then practiced writing these numbers by completing a worksheet. We will continue working with these numbers tomorrow.

We worked with numbers 0-10 again today. Students did an activity with their hands and with dice. Then they completed a worksheet practicing 0-10.

We wrapped up our salutations/greetings vocab today. Students completed a small sheet responding on various situations. Then they had a short conservation with a partner and continued to rotate around the room practicing the conversation.

We worked with our Salutations/Greeting vocab and also took the last set of notes on asking and answering how you are. Students practiced asking each other how they were and responding. We watched some songs that go along with our vocab.

Students did their speaking assessment today on the French alphabet. While students were testing, they practiced their French accent marks by completing a worksheet. They turned it in when they were finished. Tomorrow we will start Salutations/Greetings.

We practiced the French alphabet and accent marks again. I played both songs for the students. Then they worked with a couple partners to practice spelling their first name in French. Lastly, they received a worksheet that is homework if they didn't finish.

We took notes today on Basic French Vocab - words the students will hear me use frequently. Then I explained what all the French posters in the room mean and we played a quick game to finish class today.

We went over the syllabus, students completed an information sheet for me and then we shared "good things" that are happening in their lives.

Students need a 3 ring binder for this class. If you are unable to get one for your student, please just let me know.

Students had an assembly for the first part of class today. Then we had a crêpe party to finish off a fantastic quarter. The students have been such a pleasure to teach the past 9 weeks, I will really miss them!! Hope to see them all next year in 7th grade.

Student were able to try the French drink called diabolo which is French limonade mixed with syrups. They watched a French-Canadian cartoon today called T'choupi.
