We practiced numbers again today (0-20). We played "vingt" then students formed groups of 3 to play a version of war with a deck of cards. Students had to flip two cards over and add them together and the first person to say the correct answer in French got to keep the cards. It was a fun way to practice their numbers.

Today we went over the class syllabus.
Students are to take this home, have it read and signed and brought
back by next Monday.
I also passed out directions for how the students can sign up for the remind app. I will use this to notify students of homework, upcoming assessments and other deadlines. Parents can sign up too!
Lastly, students drew a circle on a piece of paper and had to write things that were important to them inside their circle or things that made them unique. Tomorrow we will be doing more with this information.

Students learned a little be about me today and then they completed an
information sheet about themselves that they turned in to me. After
that, we did an activity where students were challenged with trying to
duplicate a folded piece of paper that I showed them. It was great to
see student's reactions to the activity and it lead to a class
discussion about when things are challenging for you, how do you
respond?
