For today, take notes on Family part 2 (attached below if you don't have the notes). Then read pages 34-35 (you'll need to scroll a bit to get to these pages but the page numbers are at the bottom). Read the dialogue on pg 34 and see if you can understand what is going on in the conversation. Then read the culture note on page 35 about family. I will be setting up a virtual meeting for our class this week to check in and see if you have any questions and how you all are doing. Miss you all and hope you're well!

We added our seasons to our notes and to our wheels. Students had all class period today to work on their wheel and they will have all class period tomorrow as well. Wheels are due at the beginning of class Friday.

We took notes on numbers 21-31 today and practiced asking and answering when our birthdays are. Wednesday we will add seasons to our notes and wheel. Students had half the class time today to continue working on their wheels. Finished wheel projects will be due on Friday of this week at the beginning of class.

We used quizlet live to practice our days of the week and months of the year. Then students could vote for their favorite March Madness songs if they wanted to at mmepayer.weebly.com
Then they had 15 minutes to work on adding their months to their "Wheel".

We took notes on the front page only of our vocab 4b2 - months of the year/date. Then students had time to add their months to their "wheel" and draw something inside the box that represents that month to them.

We worked with our days of the week one more day. Students did one partner activity that I displayed and I showed them a video of the dialogues they read yesterday. Students then completed worksheet pg 48 #1. Then they had time to work on their "wheel". They also voted on their coloring pictures today.

We worked with our days of the week vocab today. Students did a couple partner activities and one listening activity and one written activity. I then game them a "wheel" picture that will be our mini-project for this unit. It will summarize our days of the week, months of the year and seasons in French. We will be completing this over the next two weeks in small sections as we cover the material. Today, students added their name to the center of the wheel and the French days of the week outside of that.

Due to the snow days the past two days students had the hour to work on their color picture mini-project and they were due by the end of class today. While students were working, I played the new songs for the March Madness of French music today. Students can vote anytime by going to my website mmepayer.weebly.com and clicking on the link at the bottom to the music website.

We played uno in French using our numbers in colors in French. Ask your student how to say the special cards in French, some of them are fun to say. Then students received their mini-project for our colors unit. They selected a French color by number picture and had time to work on it in class. Projects will be due by the end of class on Wednesday.

We worked with colors again today. We did an activity saying the colors of the flags of French speaking countries. Then we used some color cards to practice our new words. Then we did a kahoot with colors.

We took our last set of notes for our greetings unit and students practiced asking each other how they were. We also watched a short video clip about our new vocab. Then students worked with their table groups to answer how they were based on 11 scenarios I had up on the board. Then they individually completed a worksheet and we went over it before the end of class.

We continued with our Salutations notes today and completed the back page. Students then had a short conversation with three people in the class. Then we watched a song that uses our vocab. Students completed a worksheet using their vocab and we went over the answers. Tomorrow we will learn how to ask people how they are.

Students took their assessment over 0-20 today. Then we began a greetings unit called "Les Salutations". We took notes on the front page only today. We also watched a short video clip that uses our new vocab.

We practiced one more day with our numbers 0-20. We did a practice listening assessment that models how the assessment is tomorrow. Students practiced giving French phone numbers. Then we did a partner activity with our numbers and finished class with a review game.

We worked with numbers 0-20. Students played a modified version of "war" with a deck of cards where they had to add their card to their partners and say the answer in French to win the cards. Then we did a couple rounds of quizlet live. Then they had a numbers practice worksheet to complete and this is homework if they didn't finish.

We worked with numbers 0-10 again today. We used dice to play a game as table groups then we did one round of "dix". Then students individually completed a numbers worksheet and turned it in when they were done. Tomorrow we will add on numbers 11-20.

We worked with our French alphabet and accent marks today. We listened to the songs and then students practiced spelling their first name in French. Then we did a listening practice where I spelled words for them using the alphabet and accent marks. Then they played hangman with a partner but had to ask for the letters using the French alphabet.

We continued watching Beauty & The Beast in French and finished it. Then I showed them a French cartoon called T'choupi which is a family of cartoon characters that are penguins. It's a regular TV show for kids and they made a movie out of it called "Le Mystère des jouets" -"The Mystery of the Toys".

We finished our notes on family members today. Then students did a partner activity introducing family members I had on the board. Then they took their family tree from yesterday and write two sentences for each person: His/her name is ___ and He/She is ___ years old. Then several students shared their answers. On Monday we will be talking about their family/friend project they will be doing next week.
