How is Christmas celebrate in France and other Francophone countries? This is the question we answered today in class. Students worked with a partner to look up this information and reported back to the group toward the end of class.

We went over the homework from last night. Then we worked with our dates. Students were not allowed to speak English and had to form themselves into a line according to their birthdays. They did a great job! Then they did an activity up on the board with dates. Lastly, I provided some chocolate for them to share in rows.

We worked with our days of the week and months of the year flashcards today. Students worked with a partner to find the English word after they heard me say the French word. Then they completed pg 48 #1, #2 and pg 49 #3 in their lecon 4 packet.

We worked with our vocab (days of the week & months of the year) today. Students created flashcards for our new vocab on months of the year. Then they completed a worksheet on the months associated with holidays.

We went over our days of the week vocab, sang the song and completed a listening activity from their lecon 4 packet pg 45 part A. Then they completed a speaking activity with a partner using their vocab. Next, we began taking notes on months of the year and will finish these on Wednesday of this week.

Here's what you need to do today:
1. Go to www.quizlet.com and log into your account
2. Practice the set called "Vocab 4B1 - Les Jours de la Semaine (Days of the Week)" you can use your notes of course.
You need to do 3 different activities using this set, 
choose 3: Write, Test, Spell (need headphones), Match, Gravity - after you've completed 3 of those you can continue to practice using any of games.

I will be able to see what you've completed so please do this, it's an easy participation/classwork grade.

We took notes on days of the week today. We listened to a song that goes with it as well. Then students made flashcards to go with our new words. We will use them as the week goes on.

We played uno ("un") today using our colors and numbers in French. The "special" cards are fun to say in French you should ask your student how to say them.  Tomorrow we will begin days of the week.

We worked with colors again today. Student selected a picture to color and it was a color by number (but in French). They were given time to work on it and it's homework if they did not finish.

We practiced with numbers 0-20 again today. We did a listening practice and then students joined the quizlet class and practiced on there.
